Where Mountain
Time Begins.

Leadville is a place of History, Beauty & Adventure.

Leadville was founded in the late 19th century and at one point, became Colorado’s second most populous city. Mining has always been a large part of its history, but tourism and adventurers started seeking its remote beauty.

I call Leadville home for the past couple years with my wife and two daughters. We love having visitors who enjoy and respect the town, trails and nature as much as we do.

Welcome to Leadville.

Let’s be honest, we are all here to explore. Whether by biking, hiking or driving - it’s important to prepare for the unexpected. Here are some quick tips to keep you going:

The Adventure
Short List

The Mineral Belt! I wouldn’t call this a “hiking trail”, as its an 11.6 mile paved path around the city. But its amazing to bike or run. You can also cut it short with several cross streets.

The Mineral Belt

Mineral Belt

While you’re here, why not climb the tallest peak in Colorado. There are several ways to the top of Mount Elbert, so do your research. North Trail is the shortest, but some solid vertical gain.

Hike

Turquoise Lake is a great place to hang. There is a trail on the East/North side and paved road looping the lake with some serious gain. Go enjoy it!

Turquiose Lake

Give the legs a little rest and wander into town for some food, drinks or check out one of the iconic events we may have going on.

Highly recommend! Very clean, super comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, and absolutely fantastic views from the windows. Casey was super friendly and very responsive when I had questions.
